Interviewers include former Newsnight presenter Sue Cameron; Sir Kevin Tebbit, former GCHQ Director and Jon Davis of Kings College London.

Our Specialist Factual New Talent Pitch with Discovery Channel and Open University ran from 2010 – 2013 and our pitch winners have gone on to present series for Discovery Channel, BBC, Radio 4 and Channel 5. The pitch was a unique platform for academics and experts to show their potential as onscreen presenters to a panel of leading commissioning editors, presenters and producers. Chairs include James Cracknell OBE, Adam Ruthford and Liz McIntyre, Head of Production and Development at Discovery and soon to be Director of Sheffield Docfest. Winners include Saleyha Ahsan, currently presenter of Trust Me I’m a Doctor on BBC1.

Since 2008 we have run panels and workshops on science and media, working with experts and specialist factual documentary with Wellcome Trust and Queen Mary University. In 2010 we launched the Specialist Factual New Talent pitch with Discovery Channel, the first presenters pitch at Docfest. On the panel were commissioning editors from Ch4 Science, BBC, Open University, Wellcome Trust and Discovery Channel.
